Tim Sweny was appointed Co-President at Modern in 2001. His major responsibility extends to overseeing the Materials Research and Products Divisions.
Tim joined Modern in 1986 as a Sales Engineer. The following year he established Modern’s Materials Research Division, which has grown to three sites in Pa, supporting over 800 customers in addition to Modern’s other divisions. Tim has led the expansion efforts for Modern’s Products Division beginning in 2005 with the addition of the mPower line of their manufactured workholding devices.
Tim graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Metallurgy from Penn State University.
