Dennis Sweny is one of two Co-Presidents at Modern, serving in the position since 2001 with the responsibility of overseeing the Machining and Heat Treat Divisions.
Dennis joined Modern in 1980 as a Quality Assurance Engineer and subsequently progressed through a variety of quality, manufacturing, engineering, and management positions. Prior to his appointment as Co-President, Dennis served as General Manager of Modern’s Heat Treat Division, beginning in 1990. During his tenure, he led the development and implementation of Modern’s new state-of-the-art, networked controls for the heat treating processes, including electronic capture of process parameter data.
Dennis received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology from Youngstown State University.
